2013 Mountain Throwdown is Cancelled

Welcome to The Blue Ridge Mountain Throwdown … a 3-day adventure race-fest… showcasing the  rugged Cooper’s Farm, the spectacular New River valley and the breath-taking North Carolina High Country in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

If you compete on foot, wheels or with a paddle, and crave a challenge then bring your moxie to the Throwdown.  The weekend is full of single-sport and multi-sport, solo and team, and off-road and on-road races.

The Start/Finish Venue is on the grounds of the former Brownwood herb and root warehouse, a National Register of Historic Places building, which is now the family-owned and operated Riverside Restaurant.  The Riverside is anchored on the banks of the South Fork New River, one of only 14 American Heritage Rivers in the United States, and is surrounded by a large field for camping, relaxing and cheering.  Bring your family and after the competition soak your worn body on a tube float on the New.
